The Continuous Bikini Battle

It's coming....the single most dreaded time of year.
Bikini Season.

And you know every year I pledge to myself...I am going
to look amazing this summer. I am going to have those
toned abs and awesome butt.. this year is different.
Though I have been working out more often lately, I've come
to accept the fact that my body will never drastically
shrunk down to the size of a model's.

That's why I've decided to accept my size but make it better.
I don't plan on having washboard abs and it's not realistic.
I'm just going to work on improving my already normal, healthy
body. I'll never be a size 2 and that's OK.

So I'm going to try and balance out working out and eating BETTER
choices...not limit myself to just carrots and lettuce.

And HEY. maybe my body will reflect this improvement.

A salute to all the healthy-bodied celebrities:

Whirlwind Week

Honestly, spring break could not have come any sooner.
[Though technically I took a few extra days off in addition to..Shhh].

I started the break up in Spokane with Zack enjoying the limited sun and the quiet alone time. We travelled the downtown streets and random shops with of course picking up some Dutch Bros kahlua dutch freezes to start the day :)

After a couple days of solitude we made our way to Kent to visit his parents, little brothers and his gigantic Mastiff named Maddie. We spent the first day walking the dog, playing some frisbee and going to dinner and a movie with his parents.

After the late night with the Wii, Zack and I woke up early to head into Seattle for the day. The first obstacle was parking. Whoever thought of putting a price on where people park is a dirty genius...After finally finding a decent price we made our way to the aquarium where we watched an octopus eat and touched starfish and sea anemones galore.

Then we went to Ye Olde Curiosity Shop on the wharf where I got to see a real shrunken head and a mummified cowboy. Of course we hit up the Pike Street Market and saw all the flying fish and the awesome magic shop. The final stop was the Experience Music Project where I got to see George Harrison's guitar and mix some awesome beats in the studio. Though we ran out of time to visit the original Starbucks [damn...] I hit up a local one by the Space Needle before heading out.

We made our way down to Vancouver that night with Zack's friend Doug. The next few days Brit and I showed them around to our usual Portland spots. Voodoo Donuts and Buffalo Exchange I love you. Plus I snagged a beautiful [and cheap] pink floral dress at the rack! Bargain Shopping! Sadly, Zack made his way back up to Kent last night and I had to head back to school today. Lame.

But overall awesome weekend and break from reality.
On to the goods:

Voodoo Doll Donuts.

Topshop Vintage Lace Shorts ahhh.

Pearl Bow Sandals

Silence and Noise Dress

and yeah..how effin awesome is this bathing suit?!
